Desolate Beginnings
Having broken all bonds of fellowship he now stood alone. Resisting self pity and loathing, his mind wandered and probed about at all the possibilities of what may have been. When all at once the clarity of his decisions he perceived now as he stood upon a hill top over looking endless hills and mountains uninhabited by Man. Desolate and alone he took his first step into redemption. A journey that would in it's end take Angdlers life.
Creatures of various kinds dwelled and hunted in that region and many already had become aware of Angdlers presence. It was many days and nights before Angdler had found a dwelling and now he lied down on the cold ground thinking he would die. For it had been just as many days without eating, and the cold streams of fresh water had become too cold for his parched throat. By Divine direction Ravens where sent to his aid. And it was no small number, but 24 bringing him both food and drink. Angdler in all his pain was amazed and called upon what little strength he had to eat. After this he fell into a deep sleep of exhaustion, ravens drew over him a wolf skin that lied in the cavern and would on occasion bring him food and drink till he was better and somewhat healed of body and mind.
Though not as skilled as some, Angdler had some knowledge of survival in the wooded regions and soon had for himself designed a basic dwelling with fire and some crude tools for the capture and cutting of small creatures. Still most often his sustenance was supplied by the Ravens who more and more often would dwell with him.
