The Birth of a Biblical Judge
He knelt low to the ground holding his dear friend in his arms. His hands stained with blood and dirt. He watched as the life left the body of this youth and speaking quietly he said,
"dear one, all will be well. Relax and let go. I will see you through."
And with those words the youth breathed his last breadth and laid now lifeless. Gripped by bitter anger Angdler bowed his head and cried out in anguish taking no heed of any that may hear. His heart turned black and within himself he swore vengeance. Fearless he would soon set out to test the clutches of death. And it was that his doom was great so that it would be many years before death would ever conquer our hero though many times it came close.
After burying the youth in a shallow grave he drew out his harp and playing it he sung out his lament;
"That life you knew was hard though looking upon your face none would know it.
For though dark skies reigned in this life the light of the Seren was found in your eyes.
You were a prince amongst your peers and truest and hardy amongst all men. That you were taken so soon is the bitter truth of our lives.
Liken to the fresh dew so was your life. Burned by the heat of war and left behind only by a fading memory.
O my dearest brother, never will I forget you and longing do I wait to see you in the great courts of the Almighty."
